IOSH is the world's largest professional body for Heath & Safety, and the only one with chartered status.

The IOSH Awards are the new industry benchmark in the occupational safety and health (OSH) profession recognising those organisations and individuals that are delivering outstanding work in line with IOSH’s core principles.

This recognition reflects our commitment to building an integrated approach to health and wellbeing across our business. Developed around the operational realities of construction, our approach focuses on making occupational health and wellbeing support more visible, practical and accessible to our workforce.

Through our philosophy of Protect. Promote. Respond., we have created a joined-up model that prioritises the early identification of health risks through accessible health screening, while also strengthening our capacity to provide peer-led mental health support. By embedding health and wellbeing into everyday operations, we are helping our people access support earlier and fostering a culture where health is discussed as openly as safety.

Commenting on the Award, Richie Butler, Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing said: "This award is a testament to the passion, innovation and dedication of our Occupational Health and Wellbeing team, as well as the support of our project teams, clients and supply chain partners. Together, we are demonstrating that managing health with the same focus and determination as safety can make a real difference to people's lives. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this achievement. We remain committed to raising standards and driving positive change across the construction industry, and it’s great to get external recognition that we’re on the right path.”

The judges commented: "This is a standout entry. They are addressing some of the key health and wellbeing issues within construction, and the health screening for staff on site is an excellent way to engage the workforce. Critically, it covers all genders. Overall, an excellent entry."
