Our head office at Citywest in Dublin has achieved a Zero Plastic to Landfill certification becoming the second Sisk workplace to achieve this accolade, following in the footsteps of data centre project Vantage last year.

The Zero Plastic to Landfill Challenge initiative was set up by the Responsible Plastic Management Program CIC to help and demonstrate that engaged organisation’s that are playing their part in plastic management. It aims to ensure that none of the plastic waste created by our engaged businesses goes to landfill or worse into our environment.

The Zero Plastic to Landfill Challenge, offers a clear pathway for organisations to responsibly manage their plastic waste and demonstrate environmental commitment and plastic waste management control. Evidence gathering was conducted over several months and innovations to reduce our reliance on plastic showcased.

Aaron Marshall of Responsible Plastic Management said: "It is wonderful to see Sisk demonstrating leadership in circularity of plastics at all levels of the business both on project construction sites and now at their headquarters and administration offices. Achievement of Zero Plastic to Landfill Certification means reduced plastic, improved segregation and increased recycling, demonstrating true commitment to circularity in practice.”

Keith O’Flynn, Group Supply Chain Sustainability Manager at Sisk echoed Aarons remarks: “Achieving our second Zero Plastic to Landfill certification so soon after our success at Vantage in 2024 is a great testament to Sisks whole hearted commitment to reducing our impacts on the environment. I would like to thank all those who helped with this achievement and I hope that this will inspire others to set a goal of achieving similar success.
