Phase one provided 40 apartments, 26 of which are high end luxury for private ownership. The premium fitout included Hansgrohe steam showers, textured Porcelain tiles, walnut flooring, New Zealand wool carpeting and high end branded stainless steel appliances including a wine fridge.
Phase two involved the demolition of the existing hospital, followed by the construction of a new building to provide 60 new apartments, 44 of which are high quality apartments. The listed hall on site was also refurbished to provide office accommodation.
Managing local stakeholders
During Phase One of the project liaison and co-ordination with the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital was vital to ensure no disruption to their day-to-day activities. We managed this requirement with the utmost professionalism and ensured the hospital, its staff and patients were considered at all times.
This careful and considered approach was also extended to manage the expectations of neighbouring commercial, retail, hotel and residential tenants in close proximity to the construction works.
