Collaboration ensures successful delivery

A collaborative approach was taken to fine-tune the design from the planning and design phase. Regular engagement with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and their client team led to successful compliance plans, inspections, agreement on complex details and ultimately a project that was delivered on-time and on-budget. Input from the entire design team allowed the contractor to model and plan each house type.

We co-operated with the various designers onsite to find solutions such as when a redesign of structures along the site boundary was needed. The rapid development of a kingpost piled solution enabled us to overcome issues with the use of precast panels and steel piles.

Infrastructure & biodiversity

The works requirements stated that houses have an A2 BER rating, we took a step further and constructed all houses to an A1 BER standard. Solar PV panels were installed on all houses to provide a renewable source of energy. The project includes a dedicated walkway linking the development and the surrounding areas with a direct footpath to the local Ballyogan Luas stop.

We worked with the project landscape architects to deliver a surrounding that had biodiversity at its core. By focusing on native species and planting with a suitable scale, the planting enhances the buildings and ensures that the shared biodiversity green spaces are available for all the community to enjoy.
